Today, we are introducing Weblog, Gallery and Image Magick to our list of available Value Applications. If you have a J2-VDS or above, you can now add these new applications to your website through your VDS Manager; Weblog and Gallery can be found under the collaboration tab of the Value Apps section, while Image Magick can be found under the Web Development tab.


Weblog

A weblog is a simple method for sharing thoughts, opinions, and basically anything the author wants. Weblog entries are organized in chronological order and may include relevant links and pictures by the author. Weblog comes with a full theme system which makes designing everything from the simplest blog to the most complicated webzine a piece of cake, and you can even have multiple themes with totally different looks that you switch with a single click. Have a new design every day. The Weblog uses PHP and MySQL, to give you a full-featured blog that includes static pages, design themes, and much more.

• No rebuilding - Changes you make to your templates or entries are reflected immediately on your site, with no need for regenerating static pages.

Gallery

Gallery is the next generation of photo sharing web applications. Gallery gives you an intuitive way to blend photo management seamlessly into your own website whether you're running a small personal site or a large community site. Image Magick

Image Magick is an application library that allows you to create, edit, and compose bitmap images. It can read, convert and write images in a large variety of formats. Images can be cropped, colors can be changed, various effects can be applied, images can be rotated and combined, and text, lines, polygons, ellipses and Bézier curves can be added to images and stretched and rotated. Most of the functionality of Image Magick can be used interactively from the command line. Image Magick is used by the new Jumpline.com Gallery to handle image resizing and thumbnail creation.
