How to Use the Twitter Embed Feature on WordPress 3.4

By Katy M.
As they do sometimes, WordPress has released an update with changes that were designed to make your life easier. My favorite change in WordPress 3.4 is the Twitter embed. By posting the url of a tweet, it embeds a box that looks a lot like a tweet as seen on the Twitter page. From your site, your visitors can retweet your update from their account, favorite it, reply or follow you on Twitter.
To embed a tweet into a post, simply find the url by going to your twitter page, clicking on the tweet you’d like to select, click on “details”. You will be taken to a new page where you will need to copy (Ctrl C) the url. From there, you will return to your post and paste (Ctrl V) the url into the post on a new line. Update and then check out your embedded tweet!
Why is this important? As I mentioned above, it will provide another tool for your customers to share with their friends things that they are interested in. This can be used to share articles you’ve written about your business or products, events or sales that you are hosting or information about your organization.
